Why We Started
We started Arriba because we saw something missing in the way finance is taught, especially here in Kenya. Most programs focused on operational tasks like bookkeeping, but there wasn’t much out there for people who wanted to break into investment, advisory, or capital-raising roles.
We knew that with the right kind of support, more young professionals could take on meaningful roles in high-impact sectors. So we built the kind of training we wish we had when we were starting out: practical, relatable, and rooted in the realities of today’s investment world.

He has led transactions in renewable energy, real estate, and infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa, with a strong focus on structuring, financial modelling, and portfolio management. Justus is also passionate about financial education and co-founded a training platform that equips aspiring professionals with practical finance skills. Hawa Bonaya
Hawa is a finance and investment specialist with a background in transaction advisory, financial modelling, and climate-aligned finance. Her work spans clean energy, carbon markets, and infrastructure development, with a strong emphasis on structuring innovative financing solutions. She’s also deeply committed to capacity building, drawing on her technical expertise to help students bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application.
Germano Kiruthu
Germano is an experienced investment professional specializing in energy and infrastructure.
